Sunday 10/20/24, (Part 1) Lava cave, and crater

NOTE: My blog keeps crashing and deleting my posts, so I am breaking it into smaller chunks.

Sunday Morning:
Our day began with a pretty sunrise before our tour of the Lava Tunnel
The tunnel was very colorful and interesting. Our guide explained how the lava tunnel was created. He also showed us that the tunnel had no echo due to the structure and cracks in the walls.
Once we were deep in the tunnel we turned off our head lamps, and the guide turned the lights off. It was ABSOLUTELY pitch black. It was really fun (in a creepy way) but I was really glad when the lights came back.
Next stop Kerid Crater. The crater was pretty cool. The sun even came out from behind the clouds and gave my photos a fun effect.  We didn't stay long at the Crater because the wind was gusty at the Crater rim and very cold.
(see Sunday part 2 for the rest of the day)
